Greetings friends,
Our very own YAM, Amanda Walker Gray, will be dancing with the Chattanooga Ballet this weekend - Friday, May 1st, at 8:00 PM and Saturyday, May 2nd, at 7:00 PM. The performance will be held at the UTC Fine Arts Center.
Amanda writes of the show, "We are doing a repertoire show with La Bayadere as the ballet in the 2nd Act. The 1st Act will be a mixture of modern and contemporary ballet pieces. There should be an ad (with a picture of me) and a write-up in the entertainment section of tomorrow (Thursday's) Times Free Press. Hope you can make it."
I hope to be there too!
Thanks,
Bob
P.S. Check out the troupe's website here.

Church Fun Hunt
Greetings friends,
On the afternoon of Sunday, May 3rd, the St. Paul’s YAMs (folks in their 20s-30s) will gather immediately after the 10:30 service on the church stage (right next to the coffee hour Key-Andrews Hall) for the 1st annual St. Paul’s YAMs Fun Hunt. We have devised a devilishly clever scavenger hunt to take place throughout the buildings of St. Paul’s. This promises to be a fun way for the St. Paul’s YAMs to learn about the various ministries that take place here and to learn some of the history and geography of the church’s building and books like the BCP and Hymnal 1982. Snacks will be provided throughout the scavenger hunt, so no need to head to Greenlife. Little ones are welcome too. Please consider coming out for this fun event, even if you feel you know a lot about what goes on here, we will have a few great surprises along the way. Who knows, your team might even win.
Yours in Christ,
Bob
P.S. We should be out of the building by around 2:00PM
P.P.S. I have posted some pictures, which can be found here.

Food and Faith Event
Greetings friends,
This Friday evening, there is a Food & Faith event on the Southside. More information can be found here.
Kat passed along to me this information and am embarrassed to say that I have gotten it up here sooner. I hope that some of you might consider attending this event - it looks like a lot of fun. Lisa will be there, but I have another meeting to attend.
Thanks,
Bob

Helping Weekend Pictures
Greetings friends,
As many of you know, we had far more helpers for the helping weekend than those who asked for our help. This is unfortunate. I hope that next year word will spread and we will be able to help lots more St. Paul's folks. I would like to give everyone who helped out (or tried to) a very heartfealt thanks. Here are some pictures from a couple of projects. Enjoy!

Announcements Over the Summer
Greetings friends,
I have devised a new system for our (would-be) summer-time gatherings. As you may know, We are scaling down our YAMs events to once per month for June and July. This does not mean that we have to see each other less, as I have a plan. If you forward me something that you are involved in (see Amanda's Dancing or Food & Faith events as fine examples), I will post it on the website. I won't send out an email blast, as I do not want to fill eveyone's inbox with messages. This will make it imperative to check the website in order to find out what might be going on.

MLK Martyrdom Day Activiy Pictures
Friends,
Thanks to all who came out to the YAMs event at the Chattanooga African American History Museum with us this past Saturday. We had a great time and really learned a lot - both about a few of the many cultures of Africa and about the history of African Americans in the Chattanooga area. Afterwards, we even went out for ice cream - what a great day!
Here are some pictures of the trip - enjoy!
