Picture from Campus Ministry Escapades I Hope You'll enjoy

Greetings friends,

While this is not specifically a YAMs announcement, I thought that you all might appreciate it anyway. Last week was UTC's homecoming and I was involved with some of the events, including the Moc'n'Roll Fall Festival. They had a big blow up slide. Anyway, I raced an Episcopal Chaplaincy student down the slide and someone managed to snap an action shot of us. Pictures really do say more than words . . .

Peace, Bob

P.S. Check out those red socks I am wearing! What a bold wardrobe choice.

September 27th - Culture Fest 2008

Greetings friends,

The next event for the YAMs group at St. Paul's is the Chattanooga Arts & Education Council's Culture Fest 2008. More information on this event can be found here: http://www.artsedcouncil.org/page/culture-fest-2008/about-the-event. St. Paul's will be sharing a booth with the UTC Episcopal Campus Chaplain (I know him pretty well). At this booth, we will bring to the larger community, not only an joyful awareness of the presence of God rooted in the Gospel, but also the culture of the Episcopal Church. No, this does not just mean golf pants and highballs. We have as our cultural heritage the British Isles as well as the Thirteen Colonies of America. That being said, I hope that you will come by and see the booth. Stop in and have an Altoid or two. There may even be other British Confections there. I hope that this will be an opportunity for those of you who are not as involved as you would like to be to stop in and see us. The festival is in Coolidge Park and we will be under a tent - rain or shine.

Yours in Christ,
Bob

P.S. I hope to have an Episcopal Flag at this event . . . In light of a shared British Isles heritage, who can tell me why . . .

September 4th Dinner Pictures!

On Tuesday eveing, Sept. 4th, the Young Adult Ministries team at St. Paul's welcomed me and Lisa to the parish. The speaker for the Event was The Rev. Matilda Dunn, who spoke on the importance of our generation in the Church. Boy, is she right! For those of you who were able to attend - and there were over thirty - thank you. For those of you who were not, I hope that we get a chance to have conversations soon.

Yours in Christ,
Bob

Welcome to YAMs - Young Adult Ministries at St. Paul's Church

Greetings friends,

Welcome to the webpage for Young Adult Ministries (YAMs) at St. Paul's Church in beautiful downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. Tennesseein' is Tenebelievin'! This page has been created so that you (the viewer) can keep up to date with upcoming events related to Young Adult Ministries at St. Paul's. This will also be a place that I (the writer) can post pictures and thoughts pertaining to past events and will occasionally offer spiritual tidbits that may help us along the long path. I hope that you check back soon to see what we have in store and that I will have added much in the way that you have not seen before.

Yours in Christ,
Bob
