Community Kitchen Volunteering

Greetings friends,

As many of you know, earlier today a group of YAMs (with some help from the Tweeners and a couple of UTC students) volunteered at Chattanooga Community Kitchen. I was promised that we would have a chance to serve food and they delivered. In shifts, everyone that wanted to serve food to the community that the Kitchen helps was given a chance to help out. Meanwhile, those not involved in preparing or serving food moved approximately ten full palates of canned and bottled drinks off of the basement floor (which is often flooded) onto a raised platform. Who else is sore? Whew! It was lots of work, but lots of fun too. Check out these pictures:

Notice that sweet assembly line action! I want to give a special thanks to eveyone who came out to help us. I hope to see them and everyone else when we visit the Kitchen again at the end of May.

Yours in Christ,
Bob
