Especially for Young Adults, ages 20 to 39 . . .

. . . A class that looks at God through various themes, using different media as lenses facilitated by Clay and Sara Gahan. The class meets in Room 102 of St. Paul's Church at 9:15 AM, Sunday mornings.

This exciting new Christian Education offering is aimed specifically at young adults and the way in which they encounter God through a myriad of themes. This semester, the class will engage in a thematic approach to living lives of faith in today’s world. Topics for discussion include epiphany, hope, romance, service and charity, prayer, conflict and war, forgiveness and reconciliation, sacrifice, and friendship. Participants are encouraged to contribute their own opportunity for shared leadership is foremost, as members of the class will be allowed to sign up for a topic and lead the morning’s discussion. Additionally, one will not need to have been present for the previous week’s class to enjoy and fully participate in the current week’s class While the class will undoubtedly offer its members an enjoyable way to be exposed to different authors, poets, composers and directors and to reflect on important Christian themes together, the major hope for the class is for young adults of the church to have the opportunity to take part in a lively and thoughtful dialogue about the joys and challenges of listening to and glorifying God in our 21st century adult lives.

Please come as you are — no outside preparation is necessary and breakfast treats will be provided!

Clay Gahan is an upper school English teacher at the McCallie School. Sara Hume Gahan teaches English at the Girls Preparatory School.

Thanks and I hope to see everyone there!

Yours in Christ,
Bob
