Appalachian Mission Trip

Greetings friends,

On March 13th-14th the YAMs are going on a retreat/service project to Appalachia. We will be staying in the Mountain Laurel Lodge – a lodge set up just for Appalachia Habitat volunteers. We will leave St. Paul’s as close as possible to 5:00 PM on Friday evening, the 13th. We will drive straight to Historic Rugby, TN, where we will dine at the Harrow Road CafĂ©. While there, we will talk about the things that we will see the following day and prepare ourselves for the day of work ahead. On Saturday, we will be working on a House near Oneida, TN. We will return to St. Paul’s on Saturday evening, hopefully by 7:00 PM. If you have any interest in coming on this fantastic trip with us, please let me know at leopold@stpaulschatt.org. I am also sending out an evite – you may reply to that as well. The cost will be $30 per person, but please do not let this be a limiting factor. As is customary on the service projects - I have opened this event up to YAMs and Tweeners.

Please see below for more information (all files are .pdf). Further details are forthcoming.

A brochure of the lodge can be found here.

The Appalachia Habitat for Humanity brochure can be found here. Click on this link to see the good work that they do in the area - work that we will be doing on Saturday.

A Habitat-required Waiver can be found here. Please print this off and fill it out before the trip.

Yours in Christ,
Bob
